Early Years Educator – Chesterfield

We’re supporting a welcoming nursery in Chesterfield that’s looking for an Early Years Educator who can bring calm energy, creativity, and a real understanding of early childhood development.

About the role

You’ll be working with children aged 2 to 5, supporting their social, emotional, and developmental milestones. Each day is varied, but your core responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging play-based activities
  • Supporting children with early language, phonics, and communication
  • Observing progress and contributing to child development records
  • Helping to maintain a safe and nurturing learning environment
  • Assisting with personal care routines where needed
  • Building strong, trusted relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Supporting routines such as group times, outdoor play, mealtimes, and transitions
The ideal educator will have
  • Experience working within an Early Years or nursery setting
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development
  • A nurturing approach, with patience and a warm communication style
  • The ability to adapt activities for children with different needs and stages
  • A Level 2 or 3 Early Years qualification (or working towards one)
  • Good organisational skills and confidence supporting observations and assessments
