Overview

EAL & Catch-Up Tutor Needed – One Day per Week (Next Term). Axcis Education is seeking an experienced tutor to support newly arrived refugee students.

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate tutor to provide targeted support for a small group of refugee children who are new to the UK education system. Students have limited English and require focused EAL sessions as well as English and maths catch-up to help prepare them for a smooth transition into secondary school.

Location & Commitment

Location: Finsbury Park area.

Commitment: 1 day per week (next term). Start date to be confirmed. Duration: Ongoing.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver EAL support to refugee learners.
  • Teach literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Plan engaging and accessible learning sessions.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience delivering EAL support.
  • Strong literacy and numeracy teaching skills.
  • Patient, supportive approach.
  • Experience working with refugee or EAL learners (desirable but not essential).
