Overview
NRL are looking for qualified E&I Technicians to join our clients' teams on a 4-6 Month Contract in Grangemouth.
Responsibilities
- Ensure safe maintenance of all equipment and compliance with HSE standards and legislation and uphold the company Safety Charter.
- Technical appraisal of new and emergent work requests to diagnose remediation scope when requested.
- Carry out all executable work in compliance with the permit to work system, work pack, procedure and/or method statement in an appropriate time as defined by the schedule.
- Evaluate and communicate all fault finding investigation results defining the most appropriate solution taking into account availability and cost exposure to prevent reoccurrence.
- Promote and undertake predictive / preventive maintenance of equipment and actively support operations technicians using technical knowledge to increase reliability and availability of equipment.
- Carry out a dynamic risk assessment (RA) before any new task and at any appropriate time throughout the life of an activity.
- Complete all required quality assurance (QA) paperwork as defined in the Work Pack, Method Statements, Quality Packs or standard procedures.
- Plan and schedule maintenance (own) PMs.
- Carry out condition monitoring activities on equipment.
- Report to the Supervisor in respect of any delays to and/or significant issues identified in allocated tasks to maximise personal/team productivity, improve the maintenance process and improve asset availability, reliability and efficiency.
- Carry out preparedness assessment of all future work scopes as requested taking appropriate action to close out issues as identified.
- Leave all worksites in a condition at least as good as found with regard to housekeeping with no site ever left in a condition below the expectations laid out in the Audit process.
- Ensure all ATEX certified equipment installed within a hazardous area have periodic Hazardous Area Inspection (HAI) and that all ATEX fixed equipment is inspected within set date to comply with current legislation and maintained throughout the complete life cycle, from installation to decommissioning.
- Trained and competent to carry out simple rigging and lifting activities. Produce method statements and risk assessments for rigging activities when required.
- Trained and competent to carry out mechanical tasks when required.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- HNC Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
- HNC Measurement and Control Engineering (or equivalent)
- CompEX 01-04 qualified
- Experience of working on a top tier COMAH site.
- SVQ Level 3 Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) and Instrument and Control Engineering (or equivalent)
- Capable of reading detailed technical drawings/diagrams, P&IDs, Electrical Schematics Drawings, Instrumentation Loop Drawings.
