Qualifications

  • Knowledge of COMAH / MAH / OSSOW (Operational Safe Systems of Work).
  • Experience in waste treatment or chemical processing industry.
  • Understanding of health, safety, and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide training to ensure adequate site operation resources.
  • Participate in EMS and QHS meetings, promoting environmental awareness.
  • Ensure operations comply with legislation and requirements.
  • Delegate daily tasks to operatives aligned with site priorities.
  • Notify deviations against operating criteria and detail actions.
  • Ensure sufficient safety and compliance measures in place.

Skills

What you'll be doing
  • Provide adequate and appropriate training to ensure site operations has sufficient resources.
  • Participate in the site/facility EMS and QHS meetings, actively promoting environmental awareness and Health and safety standards
  • Ensure day-to-day site operations are run in accordance with legislative and organisational requirements.
  • Provide daily tasks to a team of operatives ensuring priorities in line with site requirements.
  • Capture and ensure that deviations against operating criteria are promptly notified and detail remedial actions
  • Ensure Safe Systems of Work, Permit to Work, contractor monitoring, inductions, Risk Assessment & Method Statement are sufficient.
What we're looking for
  • Knowledge of COMAH / MAH / OSSOW (Operational Safe Systems of Work)
  • Previous work within the waste treatment or chemical processing industry, plant control systems and equipment
  • Knowledge of quality, health, safety and environmental systems
