Overview

Service Care Solutions is working alongside a highly regarded law firm, based in the Birmingham area, which is seeking a qualified and experienced Criminal Duty Solicitor to manage a varied caseload of criminal matters, including police station attendances, Magistrates’ Court advocacy and general criminal defence work.

Role & Compensation

Role: Criminal Duty Solicitor

Salary: £45,000 to £50,000

Location: Birmingham

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent clients at police stations, Magistrates’ Courts and, where appropriate, Crown Courts.
  • Provide accurate and timely legal advice and advocacy to clients.
  • Contribute to the growth of the department through your own client following or business development, if applicable.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of PQE in Criminal law as a qualified Solicitor in England and Wales.
  • Current accreditation as a Duty Solicitor (LAA Crime Category 1 Supervisor status desirable but not essential).
  • Willingness to work out‑of‑hours duty slots on a rota basis, including evenings and weekends.
