Reliability Lead – McCain Foods

Location: Cambridge, UK | Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

We invite you to join a passionate team focused on driving unstoppable plant performance, maximizing uptime, slashing maintenance costs, and elevating food safety standards. As Reliability Lead, you will keep manufacturing assets running at full throttle, moving McCain from reactive fixes to predictive, data‑driven maintenance.

Responsibilities
  • Data Analysis & Problem‑Solving: Dive into equipment performance data, uncover trends, and lead root‑cause analyses. Turn insights from Power BI and SAP into reliability improvements and smart decision‑making.
  • Condition Monitoring: Champion condition monitoring programs; use vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, ultrasound, and other predictive tools. Keep oil sampling on track and act on recommendations to safeguard equipment health.
  • Maintenance Optimisation: Evolve maintenance procedures to boost uptime. Refine schedules based on real asset performance and introduce next‑generation reliability technologies.
  • Continuous Improvement & Training: Identify optimisation opportunities, lead targeted improvement projects, and deliver training that strengthens reliability expertise.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with production and site teams to troubleshoot issues and keep performance on track. Work with OEMs and contractors to align support with site reliability ambitions.
  • Safety & Compliance: Champion safety at every turn, upholding company policies and creating a work environment where responsibility and wellbeing come first.
  • GB Reliability Vision: Champion the vision to achieve zero engineering contamination by 2030 and shape a culture of reliability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
