A community support organization in the UK is seeking a reliable Driver’s Assistant to help deliver and set up essential equipment for individuals in need. This role focuses on providing excellent customer service while ensuring equipment is handled and installed safely. Ideal candidates should be strong communicators and team players, with the ability to lift up to 25kg. Working hours are Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, and the role is based at the depot in Rotherwas.

The Community Equipment Service (CES) was formally part of NRS Healthcare and has been established in Hereford for 11 years. The team transferred to Hoople in 2025. The service is commissioned by Herefordshire Council to provide equipment designed to support independent living and minimise moving and handling risks to people in need across the county and its borders. The CES predominantly serves individuals in their own homes, but also supplies Council appointed facilities.
At its depot in Rotherwas, the service stocks a wide variety of equipment, including adaptive furniture, bariatric equipment, bathing and showering equipment, beds, chairs, moving and handling apparatus, mobility aids, pressure care and toileting equipment. The team can also acquire bespoke equipment if the need is identified.
We are looking for a reliable and customer‑focused Driver’s Assistant to support our delivery team with the transportation, setup, and collection of Community Equipment Assets. This role is essential in helping us deliver high‑quality service to our service users and ensure equipment is handled, transported, and installed safely and efficiently.
You’ll be part of a dedicated team that directly supports our community, providing essential equipment that enhances independence and quality of life.
