A leading care provider in Bath is seeking a dedicated Driver / Support Worker to enhance the quality of life of individuals. In this role, you will support people to achieve greater independence through various activities while ensuring their safety and well-being. The ideal candidate must hold a full UK driving license and have experience in providing support to individuals with various needs. This position offers competitive pay and additional benefits.
Typical Shifts are: 10am - 5pm. Based over 5 days a week including every other weekend.
We have a newly appointed dual role becoming available for a driver/support worker with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support. This dual role includes all driving requirements such as supporting to appointments, access in the local communities and taking the people we support out on daily trips/activities. You will also be responsible for oversight and completion of weekly vehicle health and safety maintenance checks.
As a support worker you’ll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people!
Our residential service in Trowbridge is a welcoming and friendly environment, and you can be sure that no two days will be the same! You’ll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. One day you could be out with the people we support in local bars and pubs, the next you could be unwinding with them playing video games, watching films, or going to the cinema.

We’re interested in our driver/support worker having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our driver/support worker should hold a full UK driving license, be a confident driver (manual and automatic including a large WAV), be resilient, flexible and composed in their approach, as well as experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviours of distress, mental health conditions, autism, challenging behaviour and people who have experienced trauma.
