Job description

A minibus driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and comfortable transportation of passengers, typically pupils or clients, to and from school, activities, or appointments.This is a great opportunity for someone who would like to give back into their community and assist to deliver a VITAL LIFELINE service in our operational area.

Responsibilities

• Key duties include performing pre-drive vehicle checks, maintaining the vehicle's cleanliness and roadworthiness, reporting any defects, planning efficient routes, and assisting passengers, especially those with mobility issues.
• They are also expected to adhere to safety guidelines, manage passenger behaviour, maintain accurate records, and report any incidents or issues to their manager.
• It is the responsibility of the driver to ensure all vehicle checks are completed on a daily basis.
• Accurate records to be kept.
• Bus maintenance Health and Safety of all passengers maintained Passenger Assistance.

Skills and Qualifications

• Valid Driver Licence with Full Category D or D1 Entitlement which has been obtained by D/D1 Test and Valid Driver Qualification Card (Driver CPC).
• Excellent communication skills held. Able to interact with passengers and colleagues, patience and calmness under pressure, good time management, and strong customer service skills to ensure passenger comfort and safety during travel.
