Main duties of the job

• In line with National Standards of Cleanliness provide a safe, hygienic environment for patients and staff
• To communicate effectively with patients, work colleagues and visitors throughout the process of delivery of the service and at all times respecting dignity and confidentiality.
• To carry out all designated cleaning duties in safe manner using only equipment and materials provided by the department. Compliance with policies and procedures
• Completion of mandatory training and relevant departmental training.
• Uses own initiative when carrying out duties on wards and departments to ensure service is provided and standards are met.

Job responsibilities

• Completion of work records
• Work completed in line with schedules and timescales
• Reports any adverse event to line manager and completes online form
• Patient satisfaction surveys show no incidents / concerns regarding service
• No issues raised via PALS
• To carry out all designated cleaning duties in safe manner using only equipment and materials provided by the department. Compliance with policies and procedures
• Completion of mandatory training and relevant departmental training.
• Uses own initiative when carrying out duties on wards and departments to ensure service is provided and standards are met.

• Experience of working in the cleaning industry commercial / healthcare etc.
• Previous experience of working in a hospital / healthcare / care home environment
