Domestic Assistant

Are you a reliable and motivated individual? Dorset HealthCare are looking for Domestic Assistants to join the friendly Facilities team at St Ann's Hospital. You will be working within our new state of the art Chaddesley House facility!

Cleaning duties include dusting, cleaning of lavatories and basins, kitchen, vacuuming carpeted floors/mopping of clinical floors, cleaning of clinical areas, internal windows/glass panels, replenishing product dispensers, wiping of window blinds and ensuring the National Cleaning Standards are constantly maintained.

Part time roles available:

  • 20 hours per week Monday to Friday 3pm-7pm
  • 35 hours per week Monday to Friday 7.30pm - 3pm
  • 15 hours per week Saturday and Sunday 7.30am - 3.30pm
  • 25 hours per week Monday to Friday 9.30am to 2.30pm

There may be a need to change this pattern to work flexibly within the team to cover the needs of the service. Additional hours are usually available to cover annual leave and sickness absence.

Additional hours worked at weekends attract additional enhanced levels of pay as well as a generous annual leave allowance.

Main duties of the job

Cleaning - duties across the site, working to NHS cleaning standards, as the cleaning rota requires. Weekly duties supporting the delivery of items throughout the site.

For all duties, full training, support and uniform will be provided, shadowing current experienced staff to enable the successful candidate to become confident in their role.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
