Overview

Divisional Manager - Solar PV

Area to be covered: Must be living within a commutable distance to London, Bristol, Merseyside, Newcastle or Glasgow

Remuneration: £60,000 - £80,000 + bonus

Benefits: Company vehicle or car allowance, pension, 3x death in service, 22 days annual leave, IT suite

Responsibilities

• Lead and establish the Solar PV division from the ground up, with full support from an established organisation.
• Manage PV delivery from design through to execution.
• Support the costing and delivery of projects to deliver targeted margins.
• Work closely with the Sales Director in developing a commercial route to market.
• Assist Surveyors in the estimating and surveying process.
• Attend and contribute to weekly contracts meetings; contribute to cost analysis of projects.
• Coordinate daily activities with internal contract staff to ensure visibility of site visits and work undertaken.
• Oversee Contract/Project delivery team to successfully deliver all PV projects.
• Ensure compliance with all SHEQ policies and procedures.

Ideal Candidate / Qualifications

• Divisional Manager – Solar PV with management level experience within the Solar PV market sector.
• Sound technical understanding of commercial and industrial solar PV systems, including design principles, costings, components, and grid integration.
• Ideally fully qualified electrician.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., IEC, NEC, BS EN).
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to build and develop the department.
• IT literate (Microsoft Office).
