Overview
Oversee and manage the UK based NFL events team across EMEA with a primary focus on international game sites (UK, Germany, Spain, Ireland). Build event strategies, operational plans, and execute fan experiences and year‑round activities to deliver best‑in‑class delivery and fan experience that meets business, commercial, marketing and local market objectives.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver large‑ and small‑scale events across EMEA, including public events, licensing, health and safety, authorities, procurement, branding, creative and procurement.
- Execute fan event delivery during game weeks and year‑round activities, supporting local offices and key business initiatives such as gameday fan experiences, kickoff events, local market activations, NFL club activations, community partner integration, OnePass app content strategy, NFL FLAG, NFL Academy event support and overall best practices.
- Budget oversight: track, manage and communicate budgets to ensure events are delivered to target, identify risk and opportunity, build budgets in line with event strategy and League procurement practices.
- Agency management: drive and lead relationships with event agencies across EMEA, including budget oversight, robust RFP process and onboarding of new vendors.
- Team management: manage and develop a high‑performing team, coordinate cross‑organizational working groups across EMEA and US, and support events team in successfully managing cross‑functional events to deliver against NFL business objectives.
- External partnership management: manage relationships with City/Host authorities, local organizing committees, government sports bodies, stadium and team partners.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years experience in events and/or hospitality industry, and 5 years management experience.
- Extensive knowledge of large‑scale fan event execution.
- Capability to manage budgets up to 2 million.
- Experience managing multiple partners and agencies.
- Outstanding stakeholder management and strong sports marketing knowledge to drive attendance and engagement.
- Commercially astute with ability to identify revenue‑generating opportunities.
- Ideally an understanding of American Football.
