This role is key to ensuring our students, staff and researchers can rely on secure, seamless and scalable network connectivity – across campus and in the cloud. As part of the Digital Solutions team, you’ll implement and maintain modern network infrastructure, ensure robust integration between on-premise and cloud systems, and proactively manage the performance, availability and security of our network estate. You’ll work closely with IT colleagues and academic, research, and professional service stakeholders to understand network requirements and provide solutions that are tailored, resilient and future-ready.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver secure, scalable wired and wireless network solutions that meet institutional needs
  • Integrate on-premise networks with cloud platforms for efficient and secure connectivity
  • Support the network lifecycle, including upgrades, patches, and performance tuning
  • Work with university stakeholders to deliver tailored network capabilities
  • Apply best practices in network security, access controls and compliance
  • Monitor and analyse network performance to ensure availability and resilience
  • Maintain clear, comprehensive documentation of configurations and procedures
  • Stay informed on emerging networking technologies, cloud services, and automation
Flexible & Connected Working

We are committed to supporting flexible methods of working wherever possible. Campus attendance will vary on a day-to-day basis and across the year, but must purposefully align to the needs of our students, staff, and stakeholders. It is expected that there will be a relatively even balance between time spent on and off campus, but in most cases the work location will be determined by the service required or the tasks/activities being undertaken.

Benefits of Working at CCCU

Our staff enjoy competitive salaries and a great working environment with a number of benefits ranging from the occupational pension scheme to use of the University’s facilities including the library and fitness centre. We are strongly committed to equality and recognise the value of a diverse workforce.

We offer generous holiday entitlements plus eight bank and public holidays, as well as discretionary days over the Christmas period.
