Requirements

You will have a degree or equivalent in a relevant subject area (e.g., Business Management, Digital Service Design, Information Technology) or significant experience in project management within a digital setting.

Responsibilities

• You will develop, lead, and manage strategic, financial, and staffing activities associated with digital transformation initiatives, leveraging modern digital technologies (AI, cloud computing, automation, data analytics) to enhance service delivery.
• You will work with key partners and stakeholders to deliver user-centred, accessible, and data-driven digital services aligned with the Council’s Digital Strategy.

The Individual

• You will have experience in leading digital transformation projects, incorporating Agile and DevOps methodologies, proven experience in Digital Service development, including UX/UI, automation, and AI-driven solutions and demonstrable experience of managing multi-disciplinary teams, budgets, and resources.
• You will have excellent oral/written communication skills, will demonstrate the ability to provide leadership and the ability to work with staff at all levels to develop solutions to complex problems.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and ability to collaborate across public, private, and third-sector organisations along with experience in system integration, API management, and cloud-based solutions and knowledge of cybersecurity, GDPR compliance, and accessibility standards is essential.
• You will have the ability to work flexibly when required.
