Overview

As the Digital Marketing Manager, you will spearhead our market entry into South Africa, taking full ownership of the digital acquisition strategy for our newest brand, Virgin Bet. You will develop and oversee all performance marketing campaigns, shaping our digital presence from day one to acquire our foundational player base. This is a strategic role focused on building a high-value audience and establishing Virgin Bet as a market leader.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the overarching digital marketing strategy across Paid Search, Paid Social, and App Marketing channels.
  • Oversee the entire acquisition funnel and conversion journeys, ensuring all campaigns deliver strong ROI while maintaining strict regulatory compliance.
  • Manage and forecast acquisition budgets, ensuring efficient spend allocation to maximise performance against targets.
  • Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (CPA, LTV, ARPU), providing regular, insightful updates to senior management.
  • Lead the planning and execution of a robust A/B testing roadmap to continuously optimise campaign performance.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams including CRM, Product, Brand, and Legal to ensure cohesive campaign delivery.
  • Maintain an expert understanding of local gaming regulations and advertising standards to ensure full compliance.
  • Report on performance against targets, translating complex data into clear strategic recommendations for future growth.
  • Advanced proficiency with multiple performance marketing platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Meta, Apple Search) including deep knowledge of bidding and targeting strategies.
  • Expertise in data analysis and reporting using tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, or BI platforms (Tableau, Looker).
  • Strong knowledge of analytics and tracking tools like Google Analytics, GTM, and mobile attribution platforms.
  • A proven ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and formulate actionable acquisition strategies.
  • Experience managing significant budgets, forecasting performance, and reporting on key acquisition KPIs (CPA, LTV, ROI).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior decision-makers.
  • A comprehensive understanding of advertising standards and responsible gambling requirements in regulated markets.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapting strategies to live sports events and market changes.
  • Experience with mobile app attribution platforms (MMPs) and pixel/tagging management is highly desirable.
