Job description
Overview

We are seeking a highly driven and strategic Senior Digital Marketing Manager to lead our user acquisition and growth marketing initiatives for our mobile app and website. This is a fixed-term contract (maternity cover) role, offering the opportunity to take ownership of end-to-end digital marketing initiatives within a fast-moving environment. You will shape our digital presence, drive app downloads, increase the active user base, and optimise engagement across customer touchpoints. The ideal candidate is analytical and creative, with a proven track record in scaling digital products through data-driven growth strategies. This role will also provide oversight of website strategy and SEO to ensure alignment with overall growth objectives.

What you'll be doing
  • Lead App User Acquisition: Develop and execute multi-channel acquisition campaigns (paid search, social, programmatic, influencer, partnerships, app stores, etc.) to drive high-quality installs and conversions.
  • Growth Marketing Strategy: Build and manage full-funnel growth strategies including onboarding optimization, referral programs, acquisition and retention campaigns, and working with the lifecycle marketing team.
  • Performance Marketing: Manage digital budgets across platforms (Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, Apple Search Ads, etc.), ensuring strong ROI and cost efficiency (CPI, CPA, LTV metrics).
  • App Store Optimization (ASO): Improve app visibility and conversion rates in app stores through keyword optimization, creative testing, and ratings/reviews management.
  • Website & SEO Oversight: Oversee website strategy, performance, and user experience in collaboration with the dedicated team member. Guide SEO initiatives to drive organic traffic, improve rankings, and support acquisition goals.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Partner with product, analytics, and data teams to analyse user behaviour, track KPIs, and continuously optimize campaigns.
  • Retention & Engagement: Drive CRM initiatives (push, in-app messaging, email, SMS) to improve customer lifetime value, reduce churn, and maximise repeat usage.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and manage a digital marketing team, fostering a culture of experimentation, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with Product, Tech, Business, Operations, Data and Customer Experience teams to align marketing efforts with business goals.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Significant digital marketing experience specifically in mobile app growth/user acquisition.
  • Proven success in scaling app user bases, ideally within e-commerce, logistics, mobility, or tech-driven industries.
  • Strong grasp of growth marketing frameworks (AARRR: Acquisition, Activation, Retention, Referral, Revenue).
  • Hands-on experience with mobile measurement partners (AppsFlyer, Adjust, Branch, Singular) and analytics tools (GA4, Mixpanel, Firebase).
  • Solid understanding of SEO and website performance best practices, with experience collaborating on site optimization to support growth.
  • Expertise in managing budgets and optimizing performance marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
