A leading digital innovation center in the UK is seeking a Digital Marketing Apprentice to support creative communication and marketing campaigns. This apprenticeship offers training and hands-on experience in digital marketing, including campaign management and content development. Salary: £24,340 per annum (rising annually throughout the apprenticeship)
Contract Type: Fixed‑Term, 48 months

Are you a creative communicator excited by technology, innovation and storytelling? As a Digital Marketing Apprentice at the STFC Hartree Centre, you’ll help build and share engaging social media content, videos, and campaigns that highlight how our scientists, technologists and professional services teams are driving digital innovation throughout the UK.
You’ll apply writing, development, and video skills to transform complex science and technology projects into clear, accessible stories. These stories will engage business and government audiences and show how our work positively impacts society.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop your digital marketing skills while working in a dynamic and supportive environment where creativity meets world‑class research.
We’re looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals ready to develop their skills through formal training and hands‑on experience. As an apprentice, you’ll gain real‑world experience, build technical and professional skills, and contribute to cutting‑edge research and innovation in a dynamic, supportive environment.
You’ll be fully supported throughout the programme with regular check‑ins from a dedicated Apprenticeship Coordinator, structured training, practical experience, and mentorship from industry professionals. Plus, you’ll have access to workshops, a peer network, and career development support, helping you feel confident and prepared for new challenges.
You’ll be joining a group of skilled professionals across the Impact, Communications, Business Engagement, and Events teams, all committed to sharing the stories and benefits of the Hartree Centre’s work in innovative digital technologies such as supercomputing, artificial intelligence and quantum computing. Together, they make sure these stories reach businesses, organisations and partners who can apply them to support innovation and growth.
These teams coordinate and deliver diverse digital and traditional communications, manage social media channels, develop website content, produce publications and multimedia materials and capture evidence of the Hartree Centre’s influence. Their work is essential in highlighting how the Hartree Centre’s expertise and technologies are helping to strengthen the UK’s innovation, productivity and digital capability.

Manchester Metropolitan University: Digital Marketer Degree Apprenticeship | Manchester Metropolitan University
As a Digital Marketing Apprentice, you will support the planning, delivering and evaluation of marketing and communication activities across a range of digital channels. Collaborating with colleagues from the Impact, Communications and Business Engagement teams, you will help develop and carry out campaigns that increase awareness of the Hartree Centre’s projects and showcase the advantages of technologies like artificial intelligence, supercomputing and quantum computing.
