This is an exciting opportunity to join our Counter Fraud and Compliance and Debt (CFCD) Directorate on a team committed to tackling fraud encountered through our Economic, Serious, and Organised Crime (ESOC) Team.
We are seeking a Quality Team member to contribute to the technical development, maintenance, and improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) for Digital Forensics (DF). You will support the DF Quality Team achieve and maintain accreditation to ISO 17025 and compliance with the Forensic Science Regulator (FSR) Statutory Code of Practice.
This role is pivotal in supporting the Digital Forensics Quality Team in the effective delivery of service and outcomes across the country. It’s a fantastic opportunity for personal development, giving you practical experience of working in a fast‑paced team, covering a wide geographical area.
The role of the Quality Team is integral to the development, maintenance, and quality assurance of Digital Forensic services provided by DWP. The Quality Team supports the DWP Digital Forensics Unit, who conducts forensic science activities, including overseeing practices for the forensic examination of a range of digital devices, ensuring that standards are always upheld, to meet policy and regulatory requirements.
The Quality Team will ensure the Digital Forensics Unit can attain, and retain, its accreditation to ISO 17025, and that quality systems in place meet regulatory, legislative, and criminal justice requirements (e.g. Forensic Science Regulator, Health and Safety, EU, Home Office).
You will support the Quality Manager and Technical Manager to ensure compliance and continuous improvement in Digital Forensic activities. This will involve planning of validation testing (including the escalation of non‑conformities) and involvement in vertical and horizontal audits.
