Band 6 Dietitian – Acute Medical & Stroke Specialist / Community Domiciliary

Department of Nutrition & Dietetics – Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

Salary: £38,682 – £46,580 per annum.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Flexible and part‑time options are considered.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist dietetic care in acute medicine and stroke wards, 4 days a week.
  • Deliver patient‑centred care in community settings one day a week, including home visits and care homes.
  • Develop and manage treatment plans for acute, stroke and community patients, including enteral feeding.
  • Supervise junior dietitians, assistants and students, supporting their professional development.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop guidelines, pathways and protocols.
  • Accurately maintain electronic patient notes and ensure confidentiality.
  • Provide nutritional advice to stakeholders, conduct education sessions for staff.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to training of health‑care professionals.
