We’re currently looking for an experienced Diesel Technician with strong knowledge in Powerstroke, Cummins, and Duramax light-duty diesel platforms to join our team in Somerset, KY.

About the Position:
As a Diesel Technician at Somerset Auto Repair, you'll take on challenging diagnostic and repair work on some of the most trusted diesel engines on the road today. You’ll work in a clean, climate-controlled environment with access to modern equipment, factory-level tools, and a team that takes pride in doing things right.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair light-duty diesel trucks, specializing in Powerstroke, Cummins, and Duramax platforms

• Perform repairs on turbochargers, injectors, fuel systems, emissions systems (EGR, DPF, DEF), and drivability concerns

• Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and software to identify and correct issues efficiently

• Document inspections, diagnostics, and completed work clearly and accurately

• Maintain a clean and organized workspace

• Follow safety procedures and contribute to a team-oriented shop culture

About You:
We’re looking for a technician with proven experience working on light-duty diesel pickups who can hit the ground running. You should be confident with diesel diagnostics, comfortable using scan tools, and take pride in the quality of your work. A strong mechanical foundation, clear communication skills, and a commitment to ongoing learning are essential.
