  • Compiling and wrapping orders for despatch.
  • Conducting weekly stocktaking and batch control.
  • Maintaining an organised work area and ensuring safety standards.

Despatch Co-ordinator – Stoke

Temporary leading to Permanent

£13.50 per hour

£26,325 to be reviewed once passed probation plus benefits

The Role

A fantastic new opportunity has arisen for a Dispatch Coordinator to join an established local company. Full training and development will be provided.

Responsibilities
  • Goods in – Booking in of material, batch control, moving items to the correct location using cranes / forklift
  • Despatch – compiling orders onto pallets, wrapping and despatching
  • Stock control – weekly stocktaking, ensuring batches are correct
  • Assisting Zone 2 operators where applicable
  • Training on the Crane and Forklift will also be available for the right candidate
  • The ideal candidate must have interest and ability to operate varied machinery effectively
  • Working with material handling, processes, and ensuring that all operations meet quality and safety standards
  • Operate and maintain machinery used in the production process
  • Handle materials efficiently to ensure smooth workflow
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machinery or production processes
  • Maintain an organised work area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Collaborate with team members to optimise production efficiency
Skills and Attributes
  • Excellent work ethic, keen to learn and progress within a production environment
  • Ideally worked within stock rotation, despatch
  • Steel materials environment previously but not essential
  • Machine operative but not essential
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and logical thinking abilities
