The Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated DT Teacher to deliver high‑quality lessons across KS3 and KS4. This full‑time role begins in January 2026 and has the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons across a range of DT specialisms, fostering creativity, problem‑solving, and technical skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and high‑quality Design Technology lessons
• Plan and deliver lessons across various DT disciplines (e.g., Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics)
• Support student progress and well‑being
• Collaborate effectively with the school’s teaching staff
• Maintain a safe, organised, and inclusive workshop environment
• Follow school policies and behaviour management practices

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
• Strong subject knowledge and practical DT skills
• Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management
• A positive and proactive approach to teaching and learning
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
