About the Role:

As a DT Teacher, you will deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will nurture students’ curiosity, encourage innovative thinking, and ensure that pupils of all abilities are supported and challenged to achieve their best.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach a range of DT subjects such as Resistant Materials, Graphics, Product Design, or Food Technology (depending on your specialism).
  • Plan and deliver creative lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Prepare students for assessments and external examinations.
  • Maintain excellent standards of behaviour and classroom management.
  • Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum design, and wider school life.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Specialism in Design & Technology or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching DT at secondary school level (GCSE desirable).
  • Strong subject knowledge and ability to inspire creativity.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full 10-year career history with recent references.
