Job summary

A well-established manufacturer in Daventry is seeking a Design & Production Engineer to generate CAD concepts, create detailed models, and validate production processes. Candidates should possess a degree or HND in Mechanical or Production Engineering, be skilled in CATIA V5, and have knowledge of GD&T. Experience in the automotive sector and familiarity with quality management systems are desirable. This role offers a competitive salary of £37,000 per annum, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM.

Qualifications

• Degree or HND in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Production Engineering (or equivalent).
• Skilled in CATIA V5.
• Knowledge of GD&T.
• Experience using quality management systems.
• Familiar with APQP, PFMEA, control plans and lean manufacturing methods.
• Automotive experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Generate and develop CAD concepts using CATIA V5.
• Create detailed CAD models and drawings.
• Finalise design for production release.
• Develop and validate process flow, PFMEA, control plans and SOP's.
• Resolve design and process issues promptly.
• Present design proposals and solutions in review meetings.
• Review first-off parts with the quality team.
• Implement design or process adjustments as required.
• Heading up continuous improvements activities.
