This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Design Manager looking to take the next step in their career within a fast‑growing construction company specialising in large‑scale roofing & cladding projects.

In this role, you will lead the design function, overseeing the development and review of project designs to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with client requirements. You'll guide the design process from initial concept through to approval, supporting the team, strengthening design standards, and driving continuous improvement across the department. This position can be on a hybrid or remote basis, with travel to the office once each month.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced design professional with strong knowledge of roofing, cladding, or façade systems and the ability to lead a design team effectively.

The Role

• Lead and oversee the design process, ensuring quality and compliance.
• Manage programmes, budgets, and sub‑contract design resources.
• Review and approve drawings, schedules, and site activities.
• Guide the design team and coordinate with clients, site teams, and suppliers.
• Monthly office visit and quarterly Design Team meetings in Aylesbury.

The Person

• Great knowledge of roofing and cladding systems, construction techniques, and relevant Building Regulations.
• Proficient in 2D AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong commercial awareness, including material costs and budget management.
• Willing to travel to the office in Aylesbury each month and attend quarterly design team meetings.
