Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Design & BIM Technician to join their team and play a key role in bringing exceptional projects to life. You will support projects from initial survey through to site delivery.

Your Role

Survey & Planning

• Carry out measured building and site surveys, translating information into accurate BIM models.
• Prepare planning drawings and support planning application submissions.

Design & Technical

• Develop and maintain BIM models throughout concept, planning, technical design and delivery stages.
• Produce drawings, schedules and visualisations to support client decision-making.
• Generate quantities and material take-offs directly from BIM.
• Specify products and materials aligned with the design ethos and project requirements.

Project Delivery

• Assist in procurement of sub-contract packages, preparing enquiries and assessing returns.
• Compile and issue clear, practical site information packs for construction teams.
• Provide technical support during the build to ensure design intent is met.

Collaboration & Client Care

• Work closely with in-house designers, construction teams, consultants and suppliers.
• Liaise directly with clients, presenting drawings and technical information clearly.
• Contribute to design reviews and help resolve queries efficiently.

What We're Looking For

• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations, planning policy and construction detailing.
• Experience preparing planning submissions, technical drawings and tender packages.
• Ability to extract accurate quantities and schedules from BIM.
• Strong communication skills with clients and office/site teams.
• An organised, proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple projects.
