The Service Head of Residential Care, is a key member of the Senior Leadership and Management Team (SLMT) and has acritical role in achieving Rossie’s vision and mission. This post has both an inward and outward organisationalfocus, ensuring delivery of safe trauma informed residential care in line with all internal and nationalrequirements. Our organisation is multi-disciplinary and the post-holder must work collaboratively, in line withour values, with all departments and services. As a Senior Manager, the post-holder will contribute to thedevelopment/delivery of the Business Plan, operate within budget and manage all resources effectively andefficiently. This post will be responsible for developing and improving Residential Care and Throughcareservices, fostering a sound organisational culture and in line with The Promise and other nationaldevelopments.

We are recruiting for a Service Manager to lead our Young People and Family Support team. The team provides flexibleintensive family support than enables children and young people on the edges of care, and their families toreceive the right support at the right time, building on their strengths and reducing the need for statutoryreports.

As well as leading the team, the Service Manager will contribute to the ongoing development and growth of theservice, ensuring all support delivered to a high standard.

Main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Provide leadership and support to your staff team
  • Adopt a creative approach to managing difficult andcomplex situations and guiding your team during periods of challenge
  • Ensure children and their familiesreceive high standards of flexible support based on their individual needs
  • Ensure GIRFEC principlesunderpin all support offered, with children and families at the heart of the process
  • Ensure sound childprotection and safeguarding protocols are in place and followed
  • Arrange and facilitate regular supportand supervision sessions with your staff team
  • Develop strong relationships with funders connected withour Children and Families support services
  • Develop new and sustain existing partnerships with externalagencies especially Social Work, Education, Health and a range of voluntary sector agencies

We are recruiting for the newly created post of Supervising Counsellor to supervise students on placement and carry asmall client caseload.

Our new Right There Counselling Academy will extend student placement counselling to Young People (12+) and adults.The is a development role, working closely with the Head of Children and Families and partner universities toembed this exciting new service.

This role is initially for a 12-month fixed term contract.

Main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Provide 1:1 and group supervision for postgraduate student counsellors
  • Oversee supervisee casework toensure safe, ethical and effective practise
  • Hold a small counselling caseload, offering person-centredsupport for young people (12+) and adults
  • Complete assessments, formulations, and risk managementplans
  • Ensure compliance with BACP, HCPC and organisation ethical frameworks
  • Take a lead forchild and adult protection for placement students

You will have attained Diploma Level 6 or above in counselling, psychotherapy, or arts/play therapy. If you are passionate about developing counselling practice, are experienced in trauma informed approaches and youhave experience of working with a range of needs across young people and adults, we'd love to hear fromyou.

It is expected that this role will be office based for a minimum of 3 days per week.

We are recruiting for a Property Maintenance Supervisor to lead the property maintenance field team and oversee theirday-to-day activities.

Our Property team is responsible for a portfolio of over 500 properties varying in size throughout Glasgow and theteam consists of maintenance workers, technicians and painters.

The Supervisor will scope and plan works from void properties and review works for tenanted properties. You will alsosupport the admin supervisor on planning works for the internal team while providing feedback on contractorperformance.

Main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Scope void properties, carrying out a detailed review of the property with clear guidance on categoryrating
  • Advise on works required to bring void properties back to agreed standard
  • Phase works andadvise if there are any barriers to stop completion of works in agreed deadlines
  • Plan all works andparts requires, advise of any parts that can be purchased in advance
  • Liaise with the AdministrationSupervisor on completion of works
  • Review status of all properties undergoing any works at weeklymeetings with Property Maintenance & Health and Safety Manager
  • Coordinate replacement of any itemstaken from voids at initial clear out ensuring complete inventory and recycle/upcycle wherepossible
  • Lead the internal maintenance field team with a clear focus on delivery performance and outcomeattainment to deliver all the required works to return void properties back to Short Term Housing as soon aspossible
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the field team, feeding back on performance andhighlight where there are skills gaps

What we expect from you...

You will be able to demonstrate extensive experience of working in a property/building/trades background with aworking knowledge of health and safety. You will also have experience of building and supervising a team with aproven track record in coaching and people management. A full, valid driving license is an essential requirement.
