Kidz Day Nursery Catterick have an exciting opportunity for a reliable, passionate and motivated Deputy Nursery Manager to join our friendly and experienced team.

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Deputy Manager to lead our nursery team alongside the management team and provide a nurturing environment for young children. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a background in early childhood education, and a genuine love for working with children. As the Nursery Deputy Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring high standards of care and education, and fostering positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.

Duties
  • Manage the daily operations of the nursery alongside the management team, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement engaging educational programmes that promote children’s learning and development.
  • Supervise and support nursery staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding their children’s progress and any concerns.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for children to play and learn.
  • Foster positive relationships with children to encourage their social and emotional development.
  • Conduct regular assessments of children’s progress and adapt programmes accordingly.
  • Manage resources effectively to ensure the nursery runs smoothly.
  • Manage the nursery in the absence of the Manager, supported by other Senior Practitioners.
Experience & Qualifications

  • Must be at least Level 3 qualified in a UK recognised early years qualification.
  • Enhanced DBS check will be required for this role. All colleagues are required to complete regular training to ensure they understand and fulfil their responsibilities. A Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate is mandatory for all positions, and this role will be subject to enhanced checks as part of our safeguarding duties.
  • Experience in nursery leadership.

Schedule: Full‑time, Permanent – Monday to Friday
