Job summary

A nurturing nursery in Bebington is seeking a full-time Deputy Nursery Manager. The ideal candidate will support the Manager in maintaining high care standards, manage routines, and foster a positive and professional environment. Deputy Nursery Manager (Full-Time, Permanent)

Birkenhead, Wirral

Pay: £13.36-£14.12 per hour
42.5 hours per

A welcoming, family‑feel nursery located within a character‑filled house with a beautiful garden is recruiting a full‑time Deputy Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practitioner or room leader ready to take the next step.

The nursery has 31 children, 4 rooms and a team of 7 staff. Management is hands‑on, supportive and encourages teamwork, open communication and shared success. Staff enjoy a friendly atmosphere, regular team‑building and strong collaboration across all rooms.

As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Manager to maintain high standards of care, support staff development, manage routines and ensure children thrive in a nurturing and stimulating environment.

Requirements
  • Level 3 or above in Early Years
  • Experience in a senior or supervisory role
  • Strong understanding of EYFS
  • Confident supporting staff and running the nursery in the manager's absence
  • Positive, calm and professional approach
