Are you a talented and experienced Deputy Manager looking for a new role? We have an excellent opportunity for a dedicated individual to join a lovely nursery in Oxford, Oxfordshire.

Person Specification
  • NNEB, Cache, NVQ level 3 Childcare qualification
  • Experience of motivating teams and developing practice
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Desirable)
  • Paediatric First Aid (Desirable)
Responsibilities
  • Working closely with the Nursery Manager and providing cover for this role as required
  • Leading by example and ensuring staff are caring for the all-round daily needs of the children to enhance their physical, intellectual, social and emotional development
  • Ensuring staff effectively implement Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum in daily practice
  • Ensuring children are offered age appropriate activities and all staff maintain their children's learning journals
  • Manage staff supervisions, meetings and training
  • Support the development of good practice with regard to special needs and inclusion
  • Ensure that staff understand and adhere to all nursery policy and procedures
  • Assist the Nursery Manager with the recruitment induction procedure of all new staff
  • Partake in nursery show arounds, parents evenings, open days
  • Building positive relationships with parents and key interfacing groups
