Deputy Head of Software Development

£60k - £70k DOE • Bristol

Are you a Software Development Manager looking to make the step up in your career? If so, we've got the job for you. We are looking to hire a Deputy Head of Software for an International business based in Bristol.

Working in an Agile environment, you will be responsible for managing a team of Software Engineers for the design, development, troubleshooting, and debugging of software programs for software enhancements and new software‑intensive systems and products. These duties include software requirements analysis, development of software products and software tools used for design, development and maintenance of infrastructure and platforms. Whilst this isn't a hands‑on role, you have previously been a software developer and can assist the team in achieving its goals.

Essential skills
  • A strong technical background, degree qualified.
  • Software engineering experience in enterprise software development and software project delivery in a software company.
  • Excellent understanding of different software development life cycles, in particular Agile methodologies (SCRUM, DSDM, Lean or Kanban).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
