You will possess strong leadership skills that positively contribute to and influence the day‑to‑day operations of the Trust and will actively explore opportunities to improve performance and effectiveness, in a sustainable and efficient way.

The post holder will be responsible for the strategic operation of a diverse range of Facilities services, including but not exclusive to healthcare cleaning and pest control, retail and patient catering, porter and post services, hard and soft FM helpdesks, waste management, laundry and linen, non‑emergency patient transport services, taxis and courier services. This includes the provision of continued expert advice to clinical and corporate services on the provision of safe, high‑quality and cost‑effective service delivery.

Modelling the values and associated behaviours of the Trust at all times, the post holder will collaborate closely with other Trust stakeholders, both clinical, corporate and external partners.

We promote the wellbeing and safety of all our patients and carers by acting promptly on concerns, communicating effectively and sharing information appropriately, according to the standards determined by our policy and procedures. All posts working with vulnerable groups will be subject to an enhanced criminal records check upon appointment and staff will need to give their consent for the Trust to receive regular updates on their criminal record status throughout their employment.

Please speak to us about how we might be able to accommodate a flexible working arrangement, whether that is job share, part time or another flexible pattern. If it works for the service, we will do our best to make it work for you.
