Overview

Deputy Director Education, Leeds Institute for Societal Futures (LISF)

Grade 9 / 10, 0.4 FTE. Open to current University of Leeds Academic Staff only.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of LISF's education strategic vision in collaboration with the Director, the other Deputy Director (Research & Engagement), and the Head of LISF.
  • Engage with LISF's community and external organisations across the University to develop and deliver interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary postgraduate teaching and education initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver innovative education offerings that remove barriers to inter-faculty postgraduate education collaborations and strengthen LISF’s external reputation and impact.
  • Oversee the management of interdisciplinary programmes, provide tailored student support, and foster collaborative, community-driven education experiences.
  • Grow internal and external networks, and contribute to nurturing the next generation of collaborative, solution-focused leaders in societal progress.
Qualifications

Possessing a detailed current knowledge of the HE education landscape, you will have a PhD or equivalent experience in a societal-challenge topic and substantial experience in developing and delivering student education activities. You will enhance LISF’s and the University of Leeds’ external reputation by promoting innovative initiatives on education related to societal futures.
