A leading educational institution in Leeds seeks a Deputy Director of Education to lead the strategic vision for the Leeds Institute for Societal Futures. The role involves engaging with various communities and overseen interdisciplinary programs aimed at fostering innovative education. Ideal candidates will possess a PhD and significant experience in higher education delivery. This position is open to current staff only.
Deputy Director Education, Leeds Institute for Societal Futures (LISF)
Grade 9 / 10, 0.4 FTE. Open to current University of Leeds Academic Staff only.
Possessing a detailed current knowledge of the HE education landscape, you will have a PhD or equivalent experience in a societal-challenge topic and substantial experience in developing and delivering student education activities. You will enhance LISF’s and the University of Leeds’ external reputation by promoting innovative initiatives on education related to societal futures.
Leeds Institute for Societal Futures (LISF) addresses complex societal challenges through interdisciplinary research, impactful education, and collaborative engagement with stakeholders across sectors. LISF aims to generate solution-focused, impact-driven outcomes and individuals who will redefine the relationship between research, society, and transformative change, through cross-disciplinary postgraduate teaching and simplified programme management.
