Overview

We are looking to recruit a Deputy College Librarian to cover a period of maternity leave. Working within a small and friendly team in the busy College library, this key role will assist the College Librarian to provide an efficient and high-quality library service.

Requirements and candidate profile
  • The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a further or higher education library and a postgraduate qualification in library and information management, or equivalent experience in a similar post.
  • You will have a positive and adaptable approach to work in this forward-facing role.
  • The role will suit individuals who can work independently and as part of a small team, who are consistent, methodical, and able to communicate at all levels.

Terms

This is a fixed term position for a minimum of 12 months with an intended start date of mid-November/ early December 2025 working 36 hours 40 minutes per week in the College.
