Job description

On behalf of my client we are recruiting for aDeputy Childrens Home Managerto join their organisation within theGodstone, Surrey area. My client offers short, medium and long term residential placements to young people between the ages of 8 – 14, who have experienced family / foster care breakdown, emotional / behavioural difficulties or other such significant interruptions in their lives.

You must ideally haveyour QCF level 3 in children & young adults and have at least2 years experience working within an EBD home.

The primary function of the Deputy Manager is to support the Manager in the smooth running of the home, ensuring all our young people are in receipt of high quality care as set out in the Quality Standards and Children’s Homes Regulations, and the team of Care Officers in their home are supported in the fulfilment of their daily duties. To support the young people throughout their daily routines, advocate on their behalf, and encourage them to achieve their full potential in all areas of their lives. There is also an expectation that the Deputy Manager will step up to the Manager’s role in the event of a short term temporary absence. My client is committed to the safeguarding and welfare of all children and young people in our care. All our staff have a key role and responsibility to ensure Safeguarding is of paramount importance.
