Depute Head Teacher - Enhanced Support Base
Craigentinny Primary School
Salary: £62,556 - £62,556
Hours: 35 per week

At Craigentinny we work with our children, families and the wider community to provide a nurturing, inclusive, safe and happy environment that inspires learning for all.

Craigentinny Primary School is a non-denominational school serving the Craigentinny and Restalrig areas of North Edinburgh. The school has a current roll of around 300 children organised into 12 classes, with Enhanced Support Base classes. The school has positive, supportive links with parents, including Parent Council, the local community and other agencies enabling them to work in partnership.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the Enhanced Support Base team at Craigentinny Primary School and provide some class teaching.
  • Be an outstanding classroom practitioner with high expectations of staff and pupils.
  • Support and collaborate with staff, pupils and families to support pupils with additional support needs.
  • Work as part of the Senior Leadership Team with remits shared and negotiated on appointment.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Experience of working with children with additional support needs.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Regulated work with children and/or protected adults; PVG Scheme membership or update required.
  • Overseas Criminal Record Check if applicable; provision of checks is required.
Other Information

Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education. The post is regulated work and the successful candidate will commence subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks.
