About the role: We’re looking for a dedicated Dental Technician Educator and Laboratory Supervisor to join our dynamic teaching team in Dentistry. This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape the future of dental professionals through hands-on teaching, mentorship, and academic support across our BDS, Dental Technology, and Clinical Dental Technology degree programmes and apprenticeships.

As a key member of our teaching team, you\u2019ll support students in developing essential technical and theoretical skills, play an active role in assessment, curriculum development and research, and contribute to wider School and University activities, including income generation.

About you

To be successful in this role you will need to have substantial experience of working as a Dental Technician and experience of training a dental team. Excellent technical skills are required, along with the ability to demonstrate and undertake elective technical supervision of students.

Qualifications
  • Diploma in Dental Technology or Clinical Dental Technology, an undergraduate degree in a relevant area or willingness to undertake upon appointment.
  • Registration with the General Dental Council as Dental Technician or Clinical Dental Technician.
Additional information

You will be primarily based at our Preston campus but will involve occasional travel for University-related business.
