Job summary

A leading elderly care provider is looking for a dedicated Care Assistant to join their dementia unit in Greater London. You will assist residents with personal hygiene and ensure their dignity and respect. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills and demonstrate initiative and adaptability. No prior experience is required as comprehensive training will be provided. This full-time position offers a salary of £13.35 per hour and requires a DBS check and proof of eligibility to work in the UK.

Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with personal hygiene care, ensuring independence, dignity, and respect at all times.
  • Recognise and understand clinical risk areas such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, and signs of infection, escalating any identified risks in a timely manner.
  • Act courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
  • Practice safe systems of work across the range of tasks.
