A staffing agency is seeking Postal Delivery People in the Inverclyde area for both walking and driving roles. 📦 Job Opportunity: Postal Delivery Person (Walking and Driving Roles Available)

Location: Inverclyde

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Type: Temporary

Pay Rate: £16.58 per hour

Hours: shifts Monday to Friday 13:00pm until 21:00pm

Schedule: Monday – Friday with one weekend day included (day off during the week)

Weekend Availability: Essential

🚚 About the Role

Pertemps is proud to support Royal Mail in recruiting Multi-Drop Postal/Parcel Delivery Drivers and Postal Delivery People in the Inverclyde area.

We are currently hiring for both walking and driving delivery roles, offering an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, independently, and delivering exceptional customer service.

🔑 Key Responsibilities
  • Begin your shift at the local delivery office to sort and load your mail.
  • Use a handheld device for route navigation and signature capture.
  • Deliver letters and parcels on foot and/or by vehicle (walking up to 8 miles per day).
  • Lift and carry mail bags (up to 16kg) and parcels (up to 20kg).
  • Use delivery trolleys as required throughout your route.
✅ Requirements
  • Full UK manual driving licence (maximum 6 points; clean licence preferred).
  • Previous delivery or driving experience is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong time management and excellent customer service skills.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Willing to undergo a DBS check.
