Job summary

Aspen Technology is seeking a Deal Desk Analyst to support our Field and Inside Sales teams in the quote-to-contract process. This role requires collaboration with various global teams to ensure compliance, manage contracts, and maintain fulfillment processes. Ideal candidates will possess strong analytical skills, experience in sales environments, and familiarity with Salesforce and ERP systems.

Qualifications

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, able to work autonomously and prioritize tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills across cross-functional teams.
  • Customer service-oriented mindset.
  • English language proficiency; additional languages are a plus.
  • Experience with commercial contracts, proposals, order processing, sales forecasting, and ERP systems.
  • Self-initiative and leadership qualities.
  • Relationship management skills, including training and managing expectations.
  • Experience in fast-paced international sales environments, preferably with sales operations background.
  • Expertise in Salesforce and Oracle ERP systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with global teams, Account Managers, Sales Operations, and Sales Management to ensure compliance with approval policies and support downstream contracts and fulfillment processes via CRM and other systems.
  • Follow internal business processes, seek guidance/approvals, and resolve situations deviating from standard processes.
  • Understand AspenTech's commercial components of deals and how financial elements intersect with terms and conditions.
  • Ensure adherence to revenue recognition guidelines during quoting and contracting.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to Sales, ensuring internal policies and processes are followed.
  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders and support sales on deals from quote to closing.
  • Gain knowledge of AspenTech products/services and system tools, identifying and addressing system issues.
  • Provide guidance on Salesforce quoting and workflow processes.
  • Manage sales order requirements using ERP systems supporting order operations.
  • Train Sales on the quote-to-contract process and communicate policy updates.
  • Support global deal management and participate in User-Acceptance Testing for system enhancements.
  • Create documentation and presentations to assist users and facilitate adoption of new processes and tools.
  • Identify solutions to business problems and analyze data for decision-making.

The Role

The Deal Desk Analyst is part of the Deal Management organization, providing operational analytics and support to Field Sales and Inside Sales teams. The role involves collaborating as an extension of the sales teams to help them meet or exceed their quarterly and annual targets across all aspects of the quote-to-contract process.

The Deal Desk Analyst will be part of a North American and Latin American team, liaising with sales organizations and cross-functional teams globally to achieve quote-to-contract goals. The position requires working in a diverse, fast-paced environment with a customer success mindset.

Your Impact
