Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for early childhood education and a strong head for business? We're seeking a forward-thinking Nursery Manager to lead our thriving day care setting and drive both exceptional care standards and sustainable growth.

About the Role

As the Nursery Manager, you'll be responsible for the operational leadership of the setting - creating a safe, engaging learning environment while also developing and implementing strategies to grow the business, increase occupancy, and ensure long-term success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and inspire a team of early years professionals
  • Ensure full compliance with EYFS, Ofsted, and safeguarding regulations
  • Maintain and improve care and education quality across the setting
  • Develop and execute business growth strategies to increase occupancy and revenue
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with families, the local community, and external partners
  • Manage budgets, control costs, and oversee efficient staff deployment
  • Monitor performance and prepare for inspections and audits
  • Identify and pursue local marketing, outreach, and partnership opportunities
About You

We're looking for a confident, commercially-minded leader who can combine a nurturing ethos with strong business acumen.

Essential Requirements
  • Level 3 or above qualification in Early Years Education (e.g., NVQ, CACHE, or equivalent)
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a nursery management or leadership role
  • Strong understanding of EYFS, safeguarding, and statutory requirements
  • Proven track record of increasing nursery occupancy or business development
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage budgets, analyse KPIs, and make strategic decisions
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for both childcare and business growth
  • Enhanced DBS check and suitable references
