Data Strategy & Advisory Leader – Capital Markets (Managing Principal) – London, UK. Location: London (Hybrid) | Practice Area: Data & Analytics | Type: Permanent. Capco is seeking a Capital Markets Data Strategy & Advisory Leader at Managing Principal level to expand our award-winning Data Practice. You’ll define and lead strategic data advisory initiatives for some of the world’s top financial institutions, helping shape enterprise-wide transformation while growing Capco’s presence in the Capital Markets domain.
What You’ll Do
- Build and scale data capabilities within Capital Markets in close partnership with domain and consulting leads
- Drive commercial growth through client mapping, pipeline development and proposition shaping
- Deliver high-impact data advisory including data strategy, literacy, governance and tooling adoption
- Lead and develop mixed Capco-client teams to deliver sustainable business outcomes
- Shape and promote market-facing propositions and thought leadership in data strategy and advisory
What We’re Looking For
- 8+ years of data consulting experience, with 5+ in Capital Markets
- Proven experience engaging C-suite stakeholders on enterprise-level data advisory
- Strong commercial and relationship development track record with strategic clients
- Deep knowledge of data frameworks (e.g., DAMA DMBOK, DCAM, CDMC) and cross-domain ecosystems
- Experience managing end-to-end data transformations across architecture, analytics and governance
Bonus Points For
- Hands-on experience leading the rollout of data management tooling in FS
- Structured account planning, domain strategy, and pipeline ownership
- Exposure to ESG, regulatory, or financial reporting data challenges
- Experience mentoring and coaching high-performing data teams
- Proven delivery of innovative Capital Markets data products or platforms
