Position Overview

Part‑Time Dance Teacher (QTS) – Derby. Start date: 19th November 2025. Teaching schedule: Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative teacher to join one of our secondary schools just outside Derby City Centre.

• Plan, deliver and assess engaging dance lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Inspire students to develop technical skills, creativity and confidence in performance
• Differentiates lessons to support and challenge learners of all abilities
• Contribute to school performances, showcases and extracurricular activities
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages artistic expression and collaboration

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Strong subject knowledge and passion for Dance and the Performing Arts
• Experience teaching Dance within a UK secondary school setting
• Excellent classroom management, communication and organisational skills
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
