A community mental health service in Leyland is seeking a motivated Team Leader to oversee Primary Mental Health Workers and Wellbeing Practitioners. This role emphasizes delivering high-quality mental health care, with responsibilities including leadership, service delivery oversight, and collaboration with community services. An opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual to join CYP Central and West as a Team Leader. Working to deliver Mental Health Care to the highest possible standard, applications are invited from experienced professionals to take on the challenging role of Team Leader.
We currently require a practitioner with previous experience at Band 6 who have recent and experience of working within a CYPMH team/primary mental health service would be desirable. All applicants must have an interest and skills in psychological approaches to working with clients and have a commitment to working collaboratively with clients who may present challenges for engagement.
The post holder will be responsible for leading and managing Primary Mental Health Workers and Children & Young People’s Wellbeing Practitioners across CAMHS & Children’s Psychological Services (CPS) teams. It is envisaged that the post holder will work with Primary Mental Health Workers to map out current community‑led service models, pathways and mental health champions and networks, and support collaboration and learning from best practice in each area. The post holder will be responsible for the line management and clinical management of all primary mental health workers and will have some additional responsibilities attached to the role.
The post holder should be highly visible across all PCN networks in central and ensure a good interface with practitioners working in the community.
