• Strong knowledge of UK customs regulations, tariff codes, and duty/VAT processes.
• Familiarity with multi-modal transport operations (road, sea, air).
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in customs software and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Handle full customs clearance for imports and exports, including document preparation and submission.

• Liaise with carriers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to ensure timely clearance and delivery.

About the Role

We are currently working with a well established and national freight forwarding business who are now seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Customs Clearance Clerk to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end customs processes across both imports and exports, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. You will work across multi-modal transport (road, sea, air) and play a key role in delivering a seamless clearance experience for their customers.
