Customer Team Member

Location: 17 - 19 Station Road Westgate-on-Sea, Margate, CT8 8RB

Pay: £12.60 per hour

Contract: 20 hours per week + regular overtime, permanent contract, part time

Working pattern: varied shifts including early mornings (7am store opening), afternoons, late evenings (10:15pm store closing) and weekends, to be discussed at interview

Training: Full, paid training provided

We’re looking for Customer Team Members to join our team at Co‑op.

As a Customer Team Member, you’ll be part of a friendly team that’s dedicated to helping our customers. We’ll look to you to provide them with great service on the tills and the shop floor, while also performing a wide range of other tasks around the store like re‑stocking shelves and cleaning up spillages.

What you’ll do
  • Friendly and thoughtful service – put customers first in everything you do: respond to queries, champion Co‑op products and Membership, and deliver a great shopping experience.
  • Work together to make everyone's day better – support your store colleagues to solve problems for customers and members.
  • Make sure the store is safe and legal – keep shelves stocked and ensure prices, dates and temperatures are accurate.
  • Help introduce new products and services – smoothly integrate changes and share experiences with colleagues.
  • Support your local community – get involved in all kinds of activities and events.
