Job description

A leading UK manufacturer of specialist testing equipment is seeking a Service & Support Engineer to join their growing After Sales team. This is a customer-facing field role involving service, calibration, technical support and installation work across the UK, with occasional travel to Ireland. Full product training will be provided.

The Role:

You will carry out service, maintenance and calibration of corrosion test equipment at customer sites, provide technical support by phone/email, and manage aftersales activity including quotations, scheduling and customer updates. The role also includes installing new systems, supporting customer training, producing quality documentation, and identifying opportunities for consumables or equipment upgrades. When required, you'll assist production teams at the UK facility.

What We're Looking For:
  • Time-served maintenance/field service technician or engineer
  • Strong experience with electrical and pneumatic systems
  • Understanding of PLC principles (advantageous, not essential)
  • Confident communicator with strong customer-service skills
  • Good problem-solving ability and accurate record-keeping
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Comfortable with UK-wide travel

This position offers a competitive base salary of circa £40k plus bonus/commission once probation is passed, as well as full training and the opportunity to develop within a growing technical environment.
