Position: Customer Service Advisor (Maternity Cover)

Duration: January 2026 – October 2026

Salary: £26,000 - £27,000 per annum DOE

Hours: 40 /week MON-THUR + 1 in 4 SATs (Half Day) *ROTA

Location: Williams, 13 Standard Way, Fareham, PO16 8XB

*ROTA: FRI will be the usual rota day off. Working hours vary over 4-week period, falling between 06:30 (earliest start) and 18:00 (latest finish). Allocated weekday half-day on weeks working a half-day SAT (07:00-12:00)!

Here at Williams, an independent trade-only plumbing and heating merchant, we're looking for a proven Customer Service professional to support our friendly, close-knit team, on a 9-10 month fixed term contract (maternity cover) at our Central Support Offices in Fareham!

As a Customer Service Advisor, you'll be:
  • Delivering outstanding customer service to our customers via telephone and email.
  • Using your ideas and initiative to rectify complaints and resolve challenges.
  • Taking inbound calls and managing requests promptly and effectively.
  • Cross selling, soft selling and upselling at every opportunity.
  • Reducing costs through your excellent attention to detail.
  • Problem solving through a solutions-based approach.
  • Processing orders and quotes in a timely manner.
  • Managing incoming e-mails and online orders.
Ideally, you are:
  • Familiar with working in a similar Customer Service or Sales environment.
  • A Team player! Keen to support colleagues across multiple departments.
  • Self-motivated and willing to work hard to help achieve team goals.
  • IT Literate with a sound level of general computer skills.
  • Able to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and multitask.
  • Highly organised and focussed on process and quality.
