Overview
Join Airbus’s international Customer Business Development team and play a pivotal role in shaping the Ground Support Equipment (GSE) & Tools business strategy. Drive departmental growth and customer satisfaction by identifying, developing, and articulating solid technical and business value propositions for our global airline and MRO customers.
Responsibilities
- Drive the NPD pipeline by capturing and analysing customer pain points to define technical and commercial requirements.
- Serve as a "Technical Consultant" alongside Satair, jointly guiding key airline partners and MROs to the most efficient and valuable solutions for their maintenance operations.
- Act as the key liaison between airline partners and the GSE Design Offices to address technical and service issues.
- Drive consensus and align priorities across a complex, multinational ecosystem of internal and external stakeholders (including Design Offices, Satair, Procurement, and MRO partners) to champion strategic initiatives.
- Continuously balance urgent customer demands ("Voice of the Customer") against internal business goals, engineering realities, cost targets, and the long-term product roadmap in a dynamic environment.
- Own the full New Product Development (NPD) lifecycle, from articulating a compelling business case for new products or technologies (like Smart GSE, digital solutions, and automation) to delivering along with the Design Office validated, commercially-viable solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Industrial) or Business Administration with a strong technical background.
- Proven experience in the aviation industry, preferably within an MRO, airline maintenance & engineering department, or an aerospace OEM. Other manufacturing industries will be considered.
- Demonstrable experience in building and defending complex business cases, including financial analysis, market assessment, and SWOT analysis.
- Must be able to communicate fluently with engineering and design office teams about technical specifications and maintenance procedures.
- The ability to act as a "translator" and interface between technical teams (Design Offices), commercial teams (Satair), and external customers (Airlines, MROs).
- Ability to influence senior management and decision-making forums. This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.
